Well, I never thought I would be as good as some at keeping this up to date, but here we are again after a bit of a break.
It has been a wonderful Autumn. memories of Madagascar fresh in our minds. Happy Lappy (our little business) is thriving and the autumn colours have been amazing.
BUT! laying here in bed on Sunday Morning, I have just realised I have not taken a single picture of the autumn trees! Must stop pointing my camera at the ground all of the time!
I am not normally one to be impressed by technology, but because the company needs to move on and start teaching new things, Angela and I bought iPhones a month ago. Initiall I treated it as just something we should get, but now I am HOOKED! OK, a great phone, but it has also helped me to find my tiny Smart car in a MASSIVE car park, to find which shelf a product is on in Tesco, to read books - I could go on and on!
I am now looking forward to giving the first 2 iPhone lessons which are booked for next week! It is lovley to see our older customers embracing this exciting new world and showing off to their kids and Grandchildren.
Our bathroom! Well, brilliant progress made through last winter and spring, changing this:
To this:
Since that picture was taken, we have fitted the shower unit, so the room is fully functional.
Then we started to plan for Madagascar, then we went to Madagascar, then Happy lappy started to grow. And our little Grandson Ewan has been lighting up our lives more and more. The result has been that the 'finishing touches' have not yet been applied.
However, when we lost power to the upstairs this week, we decided to get the electrician booked to finish of the electrics and to start ploughing on with the job within the next couple of weeks! watch this space.
Next job - remove the stone fireplace we built years ago in the lounge (it was stylish back then) and build a new, more minimalistic one and fit a new fire. Yes to all those who know me - this is IAN talking about doing DIY with confidence that he will not demolish half the street in the process. Took 54 years to get here, but here I am!
Now off to enjoy my Sunday. Hope some of you will leave comments so I know this is reaching out.
Bye for now
Ian :-)
